In 2000 we got married, and in 2001 Glenn worked like crazy, so we had a long break from working on the house. Sure, during those years we did fix the occasional little thing, and finally finish up some of the trim from our earlier major renovations, but nothing major. The next major step was in 2002 when the got the exterior of the house painted. And the best thing about this - we didn't do it ourselves! What a treat!

That's not to say there was no work for us... We still did a bunch of tasks on the outside of the house before the painters arrived, such as refinishing our back porch and choosing which shade of blue we wanted...

After several delays, the painters finally arrived and got started...

       

Things took a while, as we were having incredibly humid weather, so each coat of paint took days to dry!

But eventually the painters were done, and it was time for Glenn to add the new gutters and downpipes...

And then we were all done, and as pretty as a button!!!

Certainly, way better than that ugly brown we had put up with for the last five years!!!
